H.E.–Heaven’s Embassy

Luke 17: 20Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed, 21 nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.” (NKJV)

This is my first post. There are a lot of things that I want to say, but I believe I will begin with the purpose and meaning of this blog.  I am excited to be able to share with you the Kingdom of God. Speaking of a kingdom, when one thinks of a kingdom one imagines some type of government. A government according to dictionary.com is “the form or system of rule by which a state, community, etc., is governed.” So the dominant theme of Jesus the Anointed One’s ministry–the Kingdom of God–can be understood as the form of rule by which God’s people are governed. Then referring back to the passage at the beginning of this blog, it is amazing how this heavenly government had invaded the system of this world without the religious leaders of the day even observing it. God’s heavenly kingdom is not of this world; therefore, without people knowing, Christ was expanding the governmental infrastructure into the hearts of the people.(Mark 4:3-20) So without a troop surge or an epic military battle God’s government was represented on the earth.  After thousands of years of sinfulness and hundreds of years of silence from the Lord, heaven again had representation on the earth, and Jesus, the epitome of the Kingdom, was sent as an ambassador of God’s love. His Body is the embassy through which God “was reconciling the world to Himself [receiving us into favor, bringing us into harmony with Himself].” (2 Cor. 5:19 KJV/AMP) For “God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8 NKJV) So H.E.–Jesus the Anointed One–is Heaven’s Embassy. And now that Jesus has risen and ascended into heaven and given believers the promise of the Holy Spirit  1 Cor. 12:27 states that “All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you is a part of it.” “So we are Christ’s ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us.” (2 Cor. 5:20a AMP)
